Celinda Ortega, representing the Dominican Republic community in USA, as begun her preparations to compete at Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2023 (Miss Republica Dominicana Universo). With almost all the wishlists wanting her to compete at the national competition, it definitely seems like Dominican Republic could be representing strongly at Miss Universe this year.
Celinda earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. The beauty queen is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she was adjudged as the fourth runner-up at the National American Miss New Jersey Teen 2013. She became the vice president of Stellar Role Models Pageant, where she also worked as a coach since 2013. She was crowned Miss Bergen County in 2017.
Moreover, Celinda was also a part of Miss New Jersey USA 2018 where she finished in Top 18 and was placed in Top 17 during Miss New Jersey USA 2019. The diva also represented New Jersey at Miss USA 2021.
Miss Dominican Republic 2023: A determined, confident woman, Celinda speaks English, Spanish, and French fluently. She also runs the Stellar Productions which empowers young girls with the Stellar Role Models program promoting and instilling life skills values and providing a series of success workshops and culminates in a pageant that celebrates girl power. The program is designed for girls ages 4–14 and is all about empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
With the recent 4th and 2nd runner-up finishes in 2020 and 2022 respectively, Dominican Republic is striking to win the 2nd Miss Universe crown. The winner of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2023 crown will succeed Andreína Martínez Founier which are, indeed, huge shoes to fill.
