Sosis Bandari is a one-pan dish that combines beef sausage, onions, tomato paste, and red hot pepper to make a quick lunch or dinner.
INGREDIENTS
· 400 grams beef hot dog sausages sliced
· 2 large onions
· 2 tbsp tomato paste
· 1/4 tsp red pepper or chili powder
· Salt and black pepper to taste
· 1/2 tsp turmeric
· Vegetable oil
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add the oil to a pan over medium-high heat and fry the sausage slices until they’re browned and crisp. Transfer fried sausages to a plate.
2. Add thinly sliced onions to the pan and saute until golden.
3. Add tomato paste, salt and pepper and continue cooking until the tomato paste is a little bit darker.
4. Add the sausages back and saute well for a couple of minutes. Add a splash of water and cook for about 5–10 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated.
5. Serve Sosis Bandari with sandwich bread, pickled cucumbers (Khiar Shoor), and sliced tomatoes.
